For all potential adopters:
We have to limit our adoptions to the East Coast of Florida.
Our process requires home visits and follow up visits

and since we are all located on the East Coast,
adoption on the West Coast is just not a possibility.
Please check the West Coast Golden Retriever Rescues listed below...
Mid- Florida area www.grrmf.org
Naples area and Sarasota County www.grininc.org

China rescues

Holy Cow”, look what we’ve gotten into. This small Rescue has taken on rescuing Goldens from China. In the beginning we timidly agreed to bring in 20 Goldens. After months of planning with lots of twists and turns. These incredible Goldens arrived and were all adopted. Our cost per dog was about $2500. We asked for $800 to $1200 donations per dog...depending on the age of the dogs. Needless to say, we were not even CLOSE to covering our costs. Our story and our success spread “far and wide”. And we got amazing donations from everywhere. That almost got us “ caught up”. But now, conditions in China are becoming more dire. It’s winter and the dogs in the shelter are not kept in warm places. And the dogs they find abandoned on the streets or pulled last minute from trucks going to meat markets are suffering. The stories of beaten Goldens. Females “thrown out” when they can no longer be bred. The cruelty and neglect is beyond bearable. So, we are taking on a HUGE challenge. On the first weekend of February, we are receiving 38 Golden Retrievers all from a rescue in China. We have almost all of them adopted. Those that are not spoken for will be posted separately. But, here’s the problem. The adoption donations just won’t cover the cost. We want to make sure they’re all adopted. So we hesitate to raise the donation amount. So, once again were asking for help. We’re trying lots of projects to raise money. But the truth is...that won’t be enough. So, as with the first group of Goldens, we are “ straight out” asking for financial help. Please, we don’t want to say no to the Rescue in China. We want to save every dog we can. Will you please help us do that?
If you can help, please go to our How to Help page

Tie Chui-adopted

BE STILL MY HEART! Look at this GORGEOUS girl. She is around six years young! We are told she is friendly, energetic and loves kids. She does alright hanging out with other dogs. But might be happiest as an only dog.  As with so many of these Goldens. We’re sure they had to struggle to stay alive...and sharing doesn’t usually work when you’re in survival.

Kristinegoldenrescue@outlook.com. He is coming with the second group of Rescued Goldens. The first group arrived last month and they were incredible! Be sure to include...where you live...address and phone number. Tell her all about your home. Do you have a fenced yard? Tell her about your family, other pets and MOST IMPORTANT, tell her about everyone in your home’s daily schedule. If Kristine thinks you could be an eligible adopter. She will contact you. Without all that information. You will not hear from her.

Jian, from China

This puppy got Distemper and recovered but lost the use of his legs. See video above. The rate of puppy diseases is horrifying. Mostly, IF they survive, they live with difficult physical issues. Bringing them here gives them a chance at a full and loved life. We can’t stop now!

Elsa-adoption in progress

Am I gorgeous or what? Here’s a twist. I may be available for adoption...or I may not. I flew in from PR last night and went to my forever home. But it may NOT be my forever home because I may be happiest as an only dog. Right now I’m trying to adjust to a dog and cats. My new adopters are going to work with me. But, if I’m not happy here. They will give me up. So, in looking for a new adopter. I’m thinking. I want to be your “one and only”. I am 3 years old, spayed and perfectly house trained. I am Heartworm negative and current on my vaccines. You can reach out to Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com. Please tell her where you live. If you’ve had a home visit and every detail you can think of so she can determine if we could be a match. If it turns out I’m staying where I am..you won’t hear from her. Lastly, you must live on the East coast of Fl. From Cocoa Beach to the Keys.

My owners have given me up. That’s the bad news. The good news. I’m flying to the States to find my NEW forever home. I’m not sure how I got the name Skyline. But I CAN tell you other things about me. Clearly, I’m an “experienced” Golden. I have all the super sweet traits of a Golden. With years of practice. I’m fine with other dogs. Kids, awww heck. I’m just fine! I’m sure hoping when I land in Miami next week. There will be someone waiting to welcome me “home.” If you want to make the rest of my life even better than the first part. Please contact Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com

Tell Lisa if you’ve had a home visit and if so, when. If not please tell her EVERYTHING about you. Where you live, address and phone number. Tell her about your home, yard, family, pets. If Lisa thinks you are a perfect match for Penny. She will reach out to you. Lastly, remember. You must live in our adoption area which is the East Coast of Florida from Cocoa Beach to The Keys.

Henry-adoption in progress

Well, better late than never. I’ve spent most of my life chained, outside. So, when I come to the States next week. I may need a little coaching with my “indoor manners”. But I’m a sweet gentle soul. And I’m a Golden, so I’ll figure out what I’m supposed to do...in NO TIME. This is my “freedom ride”. Just look at the smile on my face. That picture tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about me. Yes, I’m definitely a “Golden Oldie”. But honestly, as a companion and a friend. We sweet sugar faces ARE THE BEST! I can’t wait to find my new forever family and enjoy every second of the rest of my life. If you’re ready to open your heart and your home. Please contact Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com

Update: Marley has found his forever home. Lisa received almost 100 inquiries. She wants to thank everyone of those people for their interest in Marley. She knows all those not chosen will be disappointed they weren’t chosen. But hopefully, they will be happy to know Marley will be safe and loved in a home that is perfect for him.
Well, I have to admit. You won’t get to see many dogs as handsome as I am. A pure English Cream. My Father was a “champion “. But, what’s way more important. I am as nice as I am handsome! REALLY . I love kids and all dogs. Don’t know about cats. I am six years old. My owner was killed in a terrible accident. His friend took me in to foster.I’ve been to the vet and will be neutered early next week. Then I will be ready for adoption. I am HW negative and will be current on my vaccines. I will have a microchip as well. I am six years old. I’m a tiny bit over weight. But my foster mom and I are doing lots of exercise. So, I’ll be svelte in no time.

Huxley-adoption in progress

Picture
Yes, really...Huxley is my name. But truthfully, it hasn’t been for very long. So you can certainly change it. I’m about 18 months. My rescuer says I’m a “goodie-goodie” and low key I’m very sweet and I’m great with other dogs. I was saved from a high kill shelter. I’m very excited (in my low key way) to come to the States from PR and begin my new life. I’m kind of a “little guy”. Which works for lots of people. I’ll need some house training. But, I’m a Golden and I’ll do anything to please. So, I’ll catch on “ quick”. I couldn’t be much cuter.
